Senior Technical Consultant

£60,000 - £70,000

As a (Senior)Technical Consultant, you are part of a diverse and highly skilled Technical Services team within a leading internationally advanced technology solution provider, working with varied customers in a diverse number of sectors (e.g., Finance, Manufacturing and Retail).

The role is to lead technical management through hands-on application liaising directly with the businesses clients. The Technical Consultant has a critical role within our innovative strategy to grow their experienced organisation and remain competitive.

Responsibilities: 

• By providing expert technical knowledge and professional guidance across their pre-sales process through to implementation stages of projects.

• To work closely with key teams within the business, identifying technical and business requirements across your client base and support within the solution design.

• May be required to be part of the on-call team (as per individually agreed on prior arrangement), assisting with incident management and problem resolution, which may require working outside of the normal business hours.

• Any other duties as needed or required by the business. Such other relevant duties may be assigned by the Manager in agreement with you. Such agreement should not be unreasonably withheld.

Experience:

• Client management, troubleshooting, solution thinking (identify & resolve)

• Build & deploy new systems; install new hardware & software (technical ability; physical environment consciousness; secure architecture)

• Issue, incident and DR management

• Reporting, Analytics, Project Management

• Physical asset management expertise

• Data centre management & control (clients kit in our DC's)

• Business Partner; vendor & supplier management; excellent relationship management

• Access control management inc. password expertise

• Cloud technologies

• Monitoring & back up tools (such as: Halcyon; Zabbix; SolarWinds; VEEAM; Evault)
